Best overall entries and jointly awarded the grand prize of the Design Competition at Interieur 2010.
Schair, the chair that two can share.
I love the name, and the schair would come in useful in many situations. Designed by Pratt student Charlotte Kreitmann, she won Inhabitat’s Best Student Design award last weekend at BKLYN Designs.
Totem: customizable stackable shelves that can rotate too. Designed for Pastoe by Vincent van Duysen.
VitraHaus’ five-storey building consists of stacked units connected by spiral staircases and pitched roofs covered in charcoal stucco. Designed by Swiss architects, Herzog & de Meuron, to display the furniture brand’s Home Collection, it joins the Vitra Campus in Germany. The Vitra Campus also consists of the Vitra Design museum (designed by Frank Gehry), three furniture factory buildings, and event and conference spaces.
I would like to own many of the lovely pieces that make up the Home Collection, they are timelessly classic, yet modern.
Custom Book-Harp Shelf by Swiss designer Hanspeter Steiger
I love that it is floor to ceiling height, yet despite that, there is also a light quality to the design.
I really love these lathed wooden Jar Lamps by Noon Studio. Rotating the lids switches them on and controls light intensity.(via TOTONKO)
Form Us With Love, Stockholm Furniture Fair 2010

Perfect.
Koko is a side/night table with built-in laptop desk/breakfast tray. Designed by Polish design studio kompott for VOX Furniture (although I currently don’t see it for sale on the VOX site). How often do you check your favorite blog at work or read work emails at home? The rapid development of the mobile technology caused changes in our habits as well as in our living space: a sofa or a bed area more and more often turns into a working space. Koko was inspired by the fact of merging two traditionally separated aspects of life - work and relax.
